1. FREE DOLLS
============
Due to technical problems there were delays concerning the distribution of the “free dolls” since July 2000. Unfortunately, some dolls did not reach their recipients. Either the addresses were not totally correct or even no longer up-to-date.
Therefore our request to all winners starting from July 2000: Please send back the confirmation that you have won to <mailbox@dollsandtoys.de> . Please make sure that the address is absolutely correct and up-to-date. We also need your telephone number and email address.
2. NEW SHOWROOM
================
A further problem occurred when our stocks in the proximity of Frankfurt (Germany) was broken open and robbed. There we stored antique furniture, over 10 000 books, beautiful chinaware, crystal and silver objects, clocks, a collection of rare dolls, historical toys made of wood and sheet metal (doll’s houses, cradles, etc.) and a large supply of Schildkroet dolls, as well as many valuable personal things.
These articles were intended for our new planned Showromm in North America. Altogether, these stolen things value more than 1,2 Million German Mark ($ 600.000). The police and the public prosecutor’s office are searching for the thieves. Unfortunately, however, still without success.
3. CHRISTMAS ORDERS

Also this year orders reached us directly before Christmas. As our customers know, our dolls are exclusively manufactured. Therefore it usually takes between 2 and 6 weeks (with normal shipping) from the day of order to the day of delivery. In urgent cases the delivery can take place within 7 days. This, however, is connected with high costs. Thus we pay for the fast delivery $ 150 per doll to UPS.
Since we have to pay these costs by ourselve ( because we offer free delivery), we are not able to carry out these short term orders in the future. Our price system will therefore change in the next year, so that not all customers have to pay these high costs by paying high doll prices. We think that this is fair to those customers who give their orders for Christmas in time (e.g. in September or October).
To be further able to draw our “free doll” each month, these additional expenses are transferred to the orderer at that time. In our next newsletter we will present to you our new price system and the new catalog.
4. SAVE MONEY
============
We know that $50,00 are a huge amount of cash for the transportation of your dolls. Therefore you should achieve in any case to reach the minimum value of $250.00. Perhaps by ordering together with friends, acquaintances, neighbours or with relatives.
